I am a History/Secondary Education Major at St. Joseph’s College, Long Island. I expect to complete my Bachelor’s Degree by May of 2016. My Current GPA is a 4.0, and my Cumulative GPA is a 3.92.
Experience
I look forward to tutoring students in History, Social Studies, or Writing, as I have recently finished a student teaching internship in both a high school and middle school setting. Throughout this experience, I have taught 8th grade United States History, 9th and 10th grade Global History, as well as 11th and 12th grade Social Issues/ U.S Government and Law. Aside from instructing the larger class, I have had the opportunity to teach students in a one-on-one afterschool setting. This has been the most rewarding experience throughout my internship, as I was able to guide and assist the struggling students of the class. As a result of my assistance, I have seen these students make great strides in the classroom, and grow in confidence. Continuing to help students realize their full potential is a task I would like to pursue further through the tutoring experience. Below you will find my experience and qualifications. In addition to attending school full-time, I work part-time at a local thrift store. When I’m not studying or working, I love to stay active by spending time with family and friends, running, reading for pleasure, relaxing on the beach, or enjoying nature through outdoors activities.
